Nigel is actually one of my favorite reality show judges. He's tough but fair and more respectful of the craft at hand than the judges on other shows are.

I think in terms of singing talent, Joshua definitely deserves to be in the finale more than Phillip does but so many other contestants deserved to be where Phillip does, if we're just going on singing talent.

I saw that he demurred on one of Ryan's questions which was a little bizarre anyway ("This show is like a sporting event. How is tonight different?") But I kind of admired how, like a politician, he just answered whatever question he wished he had been asked.

Hmm I think I preferred Bossypants but didn't even think to compare them til you asked. This is a lot more honest and autobiographical (not saying that Fey's was dishonest but I thought it had more "bits" going on in it than this does.)

This book was fun (I listened to the audio version.) Dratch is SO self-deprecating it almost slides into actual Debbie Downer territory sometimes but she always rescues her stories by being actually funny.

Exactly, the tuition thing is pretty amazing. I'm sure some people would argue that her talking about it undoes her generosity but she seems to enjoy spreading her money around and she worked hard for it, so more power to her.
