Is there gas in the car?
Yes, there's gas in the car

Bjork disowned her first, self-titled album so intensely that she called her second album "Debut".

Finally, a way for me to feel popular!

Or Een Schilderij.

I believe it. The guy from Maroon 5 suffers the same problem according to some friends of mine; he apparently sounds great live but their recent singles would have you believe he's tone-deaf.

I crave death.

Timberlake lost to The Dixie Chicks, man. I assume West was just trying to cheer him up.

It's virtually impossible to separate the accomplishments of most teen pop artists from their producers and songwriters, who wield near-total control over their early careers. Even when those artists go into a more independent career path, that impression still lingers.

Unbreakable has the longest second act in cinematic history. That movie fucking crawls by.

There was a frying pan?

@avclub-08ae6a26b7cb089ea588e94aed36bd15:disqus FUCK YEAH MINDMAZE

A lack of sexual experience is only a dealbreaker to really terribly shallow people. The reality is that you'll have a few awkward nights, maybe make a few jokes about it, and then the problem will resolve itself naturally.

Fuck that, I'm going to spend the next several years making that part of official psychology jargon.

Hate to break it to you but Supertramp isn't exactly unimpeachable.

Fuck that. The Wire had Randy in Season 4. That's a hell of a lot bleaker than anything in this show, even Ned's death.

I don't watch this show but anything that can acknowledge Charo as something other than a bizarre 80s punchline/reference gets major points. She was a killer flamenco guitarist.

It's a cliche at this point, but The Germans will always be my favorite. That thing's almost as quotable as a Season 4 Simpsons episode.

"Master Hunter" is one of the best blues songs in years. That thing's fantastic; I love the Idler Wheel style percussion.

Alas, I Cannot Swim is a decent album but you can honestly skip it entirely; it's a bit over-produced compared to her later work.
