Aha, that's how I've always thought of Party Down too. There are so many shows that fall under that umbrella (sadly), though very few quite as extreme as these two.

I miss Enlightened already :(

Are you watching in 720p? It looks fairly normal to me.

Yeah, but it's already becoming a cliché to use one of their songs in a trailer/show where young women party. Also, Sleigh Bells is terrible.

I've never noticed many problems with the supporting characters, personally, so I dunno.

Holy shit, no more Sleigh Bells in any movie trailer ever again please. Ugh.

Well to be fair, it's an imperfect comparison given one is a film and the other a miniseries. But even so, I can't agree that it was even a good film - the decision to make the Bennets seem, well, so poor was such a destruction of the sharp satire of the novel, and doing so didn't even add anything in its place. It

I saw it in fits and starts when I was a kid because my mother and sisters loved it. I was 3 when it first aired and I called it "Pash and Predge". Then I sat down years and years later, watched it properly and was awed by how incredible it is.

Things I wouldn't change even slightly…

Seinfeld, Charlotte's Web, The Office…okay.

The 2005 Pride and Prejudice? I think you mean the 1995 BBC miniseries.

I recently re-watched it for the nth time. Every single frame makes my heart ache.

This is always my first thought. I sometimes wonder if we'd view it that way if they'd made another 3 or 4 albums. The fact that it's so amazing followed by that total cessation (touring aside) only makes it seem more unfathomably perfect.

God I hope they air the remaining episodes, or at least make them streamable.

Rolling Perambulatle Cause

I found it to be glacially paced and emotionally inert, personally. I didn't really feel any complexity, it was just the same point about religion being made constantly for 2.5 hours.

I'm gonna blame it on cumulative sleep deprivation, but the mole thing didn't even occur to me. Then Claudia walks out and my jaw was wide open for a solid few minutes once the beatdown happened.

I was talking to my sister during the LSFYL - Coco is insanely good at it, so how is she ever gonna go home? And we figured that it'd have to be a Latrice Royale 'Natural Woman' situation. I bet she'd stumble on a slow number.
