Does this mean the show is expanding the importance of Mad Sweeney and Bilquis? They're pretty minor in the novel.
Seems to work OK for the AV Club staff.
You've never been to Georgia, then.
Cool. What's a diorama?
Hey, fuck you, philistine! The solo albums are solid gold. Worth it for the pinup art alone!
"'Does that look like pus to you?' I said, 'No. I think it's lint.'"
It's the one you pray that a clumsy, dimwitted second-grader doesn't damage its contents — vintage first-edition Star Wars action figures still in their original packaging.
The sickest I've ever gotten was from my mom's homemade ceviche three Christmases ago. I woke up at 3 a.m., vomited a gallon and passed out. By the time I woke up around noon, I had shit the bed for the first time since I was an infant. We think the octopus probably turned rancid.
Columbia, Maryland? Festival?
As part of my ongoing series of Taco Bell-apologist posts, I'd like to say I've never gotten sick from eating at Taco Bell. Not once.
Is it my imagination, or is Chipotle especially popular among the boat shoes-and-khakis set? Like, they don't just go there because it's convenient, reasonably priced and, um, "good" — they get genuinely excited about it.
"hilarious train wreck or better than my expectations"
Not to pick a nerd-lawyer fight, but I would argue that he technically didn't "murder" Ra's in that he committed no overt act that Bats intended to result in Ra's's death.
"Anyway, Snyder doesn’t have time for your simplistic ideas of saving
people being 'good' and killing them being 'bad,' he’s got ham-handed
Jesus metaphors to craft."
"Cruz will make sure anything he's doing is /technically/ not illegal."
Don't give McCown any ideas.
The headline could easily be "Pop culture is The AV Club's connection to humanity" and be no less accurate.
tbh, I stopped watching it at around episode six of Season 1, so I can't discount the possibility that it took a turn for the batshit. But "awesome" seems unlikely. Not with Spacey doing his worst Foghorn Leghorn impersonation.
I'm sure it'll be more interesting than any party convention in the last 30 years, but I'd hardly draw a direct line between House of Cards and BATSHIT AWESOME.
