Probably the first AV Club contest I've seen where whoever wins, loses.

I really kinda didn't like Hold It In when it first came out. Too conventional and pop-oriented, like latter-day Buttholes. But I've warmed up to it, especially songs like "You Can Make Me Wait."

Been meaning to pick up this book for ages. I'm gonna grab it off Amazon as soon as time permits.

Variety doesn’t specifically explain how Warner Bros. defines “underrepresented,” but it almost certainly means “not a straight, white man.” The anti-PC crowd make take issue with that, but people don’t generally care what they think anyway"

What I found a little odd was her claim that Gira promised to make her "a star." Huh? A star to whom, exactly? Record store snobs and music editors at websites that pretentiously over-analyze pop culture minutiae and are read by nobody important?

So what's the AV Club's take on Michael Gira (Swans) being accused of rape? Surprised there hasn't been a newswire on that.

Well, I guess it goes without saying that Doctor Luke makes Uncle Luke look a choir boy.

Yes! Exactly! Actual people who call other actual people they don't know assholes for some reason!

I think we all know the real question is what does he gain by going to a tedious, overhyped cash-grab by the Austin Chamber of Commerce?

Wait, so is Caitlyn Jenner on the GoodThinkers' shitlist now instead of being "courageous" and "beautiful"?

I'm just going to go out on a limb and say this won't increase the number of women directors who go on to win an Oscar for Best Film or Best Director.

Except for the Goblin LP, I really don't see anything on here to get excited about. The "Sixties Japanese garage-psych" comp seems like it might be interesting. Anyone know anything about those bands?

Sweet Ed Hardy tee, bro!

Falling Down, however, is one of the greatest films of the '90s. Fact.

His having to hide them under a leather-pants-and-codpiece ensemble on The Borgias was a sartorial crime that should have been punishable by Judas Cradle.

The New Yorker published a similar article some years ago.

Oh, I don't know this guy. I'm just, uh, here. By myself. Watching and waiting.

Speaking of which, where the hell is Taco Bell Bell these days?

I know Taco Bell uses Grade-D meat (circus animal parts, some filler). But, as with Arby's, god damn if it doesn't hit the spot.

I only remember that his transformations seemed every bit as terrifying and painful as that of American Werewolf in London.
