They sure were, as well as being one of the best live acts it was ever my pleasure to see.

Blow Your Face Out Is a great live album and Stoop Down #39 has one of the best harmonica intros ever committed to vinyl. I saw them open for Frampton back in the day and Peter Wolf was just a force of nature as a frontman. A great, underrated band that should be in the Rock and Roll HOF by now. RIP J. Geils.

Don't get me started on The Exploited.
