While I disagree that these episodes are bad and that the credit being given them (and any episodes going forward) is too much, I think I understand the change that you're taking issue with.

A Bit of Masterful Blocking
Donna, your review touched on pretty much all of favourite lines from these episodes—especially French Diplomacy—but there's one thing you didn't mention that never ceases to impress me.

Does it bother anyone else that FlashForward used "The Funeral" mere weeks after Fringe used "Is There a Ghost"? Because it sure as hell bothered me. I don't know what the timeline is for when last night's episode would have been edited, but all I could hear was "Me too! Me too!"

Speaking of Pavement, I still think it's a crime that "Grounded" and "AT&T" weren't the Wowee Zowee singles.
