I'm starting to believe the "everyone was the Ass Crack Bandit" theory carries some weight.

I would also say that Jeff and Britta being the last ones standing of the original feels right, both in terms of their career ambitions and in terms of them being the "parental figures" of the group.
I think there are really way more people watching these shows online/on demand than anyone knows or realizes.
Because Canadians aren't Americans, and as you can tell from their political views, American conservatives don't give any shits about anyone other themselves.
We all talked about Todd's season rankings, but…
5 would be great if it wasn't for those last four episodes, which were the worst Dan Harmon's Community ever produced. S6 has a much more consistent baseline.
6 above 3 is a controversial choice but I think it's probably a more consistent season, although 3 has much higher highs.
Yeah, I agree with you. Every (good) show deserves a planned ending.
Also You're the Worst. And Broad City, but I guess that's not quite a "traditional sitcom."
I would say passage of a time is a big factor. Plus, Arrested Development was so genuinely unique and different for its time, but since then there have been tons of comedy shows in a similar vein and of the same high quality…so, we quote those instead. (AD is still fucking great, though.)
I think Futurama is a good comparison point for Community. The original seasons are excellent and game-changing. The additional seasons are much less so, but still enjoyable and not bad enough to ruin the show or anything.
I'd argue "Introduction to Finality" served pretty well as an ending. It's really a shame that we didn't get a proper senior year at Greendale though. That would've ended everything really nicely.
Yeah, Seasons 1-3 are their own perfect, contained series in and of themselves. You can even finish with Introduction to Finality (S3's finale) and get a pretty good sense of closure.
Are we sure it's only been a few weeks? The timeline's pretty vague this year. It seems like it's probably been at least a few months.
Season 6 Chang is more likable, Season 1 Chang is more interesting.
I would still be surprised if there wasn't some sort of official finale, likely a movie, if the show is doing as well on Yahoo as Harmon says it is.
Yeah, I wish the whole analysis of the study group being a potentially negative thing was enforced more and the Garrett stuff had been enforced less, but overall I enjoyed this one, particularly as a little "slice of life" episode. It kind of skirted off-track for me once the cousin stuff got factored in, but overall…
I don't really see how a six year old girl can be an asshole unworthy of sympathy. Annoying, maybe, but that's about it.
I think the problem with it was really the medium more than the actual joke. If it were on a sketch show or something, likely no one would've given a shit because the intent of the joke would've been obvious and it's unlikely she would've seen it. But on Twitter, things are both more easily accessible and less obvious…
It's basically a victory lap season. Nothing extraordinary, but it's a fun time with characters you've grown to love.
