Seems like they're already phasing out the narration/Eddie focus. Makes sense given Huang is separating himself from the show.

LATE, but…I kinda really liked the most recent episode! I mean, the ending was really terrible, yeah, but it was a fun time and I thought the plot (until the ending) was maybe the strongest of the season so far. Definitely a lot better than last week's episode.

How many people are really watching it at 3 AM though? Most people probably watch it scattered through-out the day on Tuesday.

Mad Men is the kind of show where the "grand meaning and symbolism" is totally there though. It's basically designed for reviews like these.

I guess I wouldn't have a problem with it if i found it funny, but I mostly just find it tired and annoying. The end of the second episode today was a promising step in the right direction though.

Last Man on Earth would be a really good show if they just killed Phil.

I wonder where they're planning on stopping? I think reviews up to Season 11 or so would be interesting, but past then it just kind of becomes a mush of mediocrity.

That sketch was lazy as fuck. It was like something your annoying uncle on Facebook would write.

Cool!

I didn't think it was terrible, but it was my least favorite season so far, just because I didn't think the long arcs it was plotting quite came together. I still liked it though because it had some kickass scenes and episodes, and saying the show is "stuck in a rut" is kind of strange to me given the fact that S4 was

It's seriously a mockumentary? That show is trying hard to be the hottest new show of 2006.

DVD releases are slowly being phased out now that everything's on streaming. Even The Simpsons isn't releasing anymore seasons on DVD. The death of audio commentaries really does suck though.

Not sure if this is a ~controversial~ opinion or not, but I like Louie a lot better as a dose of cringe comedy and sadness than as a dramatic short film told weekly. I liked S4 well enough, but this felt like Seasons 1-3 and I dug it.

It felt more in line with Seasons 1-3 for sure. It had the theme song and everything!

At this point I'm pretty sure FX just lets Louie do whatever the fuck he wants. A 2 year break between seasons? A season that consists primarily of complex multi-week narratives? Sure! A random 8 episode season? Why not! The show doesn't bring in many viewers but FX likes the attention and acclaim it brings them, so

It's not confirmed, but cast contracts expire after S6 and pretty much everyone has other ambitions (Gillian has a new Netflix show, Danny has an NBC pilot, Alison has a burgeoning film career.) The most I could see them doing is convincing them to stay for a short final season…or a movie.

Season 1 was definitely not forgettable until Modern Warfare. Other than S2, S1 is my favorite season. The concept episodes wouldn't have worked without the strong groundwork that S1 laid.

Yeah, to me Seasons 1-3 is Community. Every season afterward feels a little bit like a sequel. Other than S4 though, it's an enjoyable sequel that allows me to spend time with characters I love every week, so I'm not against it.

S1 and S2 were nicely shot. Seasons 3-5 were bright and cartoony, but S6 looks great.
