Holy shit…that's awful.

Someone is apparently catching up on last season of Mad Men, too, judging from my recent likes.

She wasn't talking about the actual segment, she was talking about the montage which included the much worse and equally unimportant Jost and Che.

Somehow I hadn't realized this and now I am very, very, very sad.

Also, judging by her book, Tina seemed to have mixed feelings on being looked at as an "important political figure" during the '08 election, so I'm not sure she would be super comfortable with the role.

The Daily Show doesn't actually attract a huge audience anyway. I mean, it does well by late-night cable standards but it's not reaching for the same broad audience that a broadcast sitcom is. So the audience that watched 30 Rock and Parks & Rec would probably be sizable enough for TDS.

Pretty sure I heard Rachel Dratch in this episode too, right?

HAPPY VALENTIMES!!!!

Are you watching the first episode on NBC? The first episode is pretty weird, it took the show like half a season or so to figure out what it even was. For example, the second episode is basically just a concert. It's 90% musical guest, 10% sketches.

It's definitely a show that has a very specific type of humor. I don't think it's for everyone but if you're on the shows' wavelength, there's nothing quite like it.

I think the show is purposely trying to be silly and stupid, which is part of what I love about it. Not everything has to be a prestigious dramadey that Takes Itself Very Seriously.

for fucks sake

HOLY SHIT

It's too bad Parks & Rec is ending because I need a Val/Duke Silver duet in my life.

Hmm that seems definitely possible. If not them I guess it'd have to be Netflix or Hulu since it doesn't seem like Amazon fare. Or maybe it'll surprise us like Community and become the new anchor show for Dogpile.com.

I wonder where it would go? It would have to be a streaming service since it was turned down by pretty much every network. Maybe Yahoo with Community?

Well there was a minor Twitter movement after it was announced that Damon was leaving New Girl so it wouldn't be coming off totally unprecedented - for a while I thought it was probably just the writers teasing that movement, but this Four Seasons thing feels way too specific, and if it's not happening then it's

At this point if it's anything other than a revival the writers are straight up evil.

You have given a disturbing amount of thought to totally objective letter grades that were assigned 4-6 years ago.

I thought Basic Story seemed like good set-up for a great finale, but then the finale was pretty blah so the episode itself became kind of useless.
