Postal Service
Pretty much every Postal Service Song is like this for me. The lyrics are so insipid I want to punch a baby.

little bit late on this one
This album was released in October. I've listened to it like 50 times since then.

Opus
I feel like the "Reagan played second fiddle to a monkey" line is a direct quote from a Bloom county strip. Am I wrong?

bitching
All of this bitching about the price is a bit ridiculous. Frankly, Valve has entertained me endlessly for the last two years, between HL2, TF2, and L4d. I'm more than happy to give them some more of my money.

Free Radio
So why is the Gang on this comedy Central show tonight? "Free Radio"? I'm not sure what the point of this show is.

whee
Every time I hear someone talk about Twilight, I just pretend in my head they're talking about Let the Right One In. That's how it would be if there was any justice in the world.

Audible
I dont care what the review says. I'm waiting for the audiobook, which he reads. He could read the phonebook and it would be funny to me.

Whee
I'm picking Babyface McBeardo to win it all.

Shellac spam?

Steampunk
Does Neal Stephenson's "Diamond Age" qualify as steampunk? It takes place in the future, but a certain portion of the society is very much steampunk

Writing Style
was there a ghost writer for this book? Being the judgemental douche that I am, I assumed Nitro would not be a very good writer. This SLSBC entry makes no mention of the style issues of the author, however. In fact, it seemed like it was pretty engaging. Was the story good enough to be unhampered by

Yeah, I'm not sure I understand all of the vitriol. It may have a quirk-overload, but it predates the current quirk-wave. I think all the hate stems from the current quirk-backlash in the pretentious douchebag community. At the time it came out, it was pretty fresh for me. I know it's not Sartre, but the inclusion

That's almost exactly how I would write it Jorobot. Except maybe Tago Mago instead of Ege Bamyasi. I think that's just personal preference.

Cyberpunk/dystopian literature would also be good

New Wave
For some reason, I was always very partial to the Godard film "Weekend", but it's never really figured into most cinema history books I've read. a definite second on "the 400 blows" and "Hiroshima Mon amour". If you're in the mood for something very somber, Resnais's "Night and Fog" is very moving, though

The book is fairly incomprehensible at that age, though. Selby's stream of consciousness style can be a bit difficult to maintain an interest in.

Juice
That was a good one!

Aronofsky
I always sort of felt Requiem for a dream should be required viewing for high schoolers. On the simplest level, it's about as powerful an anti-drug statement as I can imagine. At least in my experience, alot of kids who graduate high school have yet to make the realization that life is not pretty. So i
