Here's a theory. What is Kevin is being used by something higher to act out some sort of plan? Maybe this is why he's sleepwalking and can't remember things? This might be why he can't die. Kind of reminds me of Donnie Darko (except Donnie had free will, but was being manipulated by people around him).
