Harmon joins Kricfalusi and David (Larry, that is) in Usurped Showrunner Heaven. Problem is, those shows went downhill, despite having had a showrunner promoted from within. This situation is significantly worse.

I love how the Community reference is framed as something that Community fans will enjoy, rather than something that will cause their heads to explode and hands to start looting. For shame.

Mentioning Community on renewal day. People getting notifications. Very classy.

Any show could have done this episode. The fact that the actors imitating L&O once played characters in a show called Community does not make it any smarter. It didn't need to have character development, but character involvement would have been nice. Also, the first episode to feature a different style/format without

Regardless of whether or not you found this episode funny, if the half the quality that it was a few seasons back then someone is letting

I'm not fancy like that, Jack. When I get thirsty I'll just drink the water from lunch I saved in my cheek.

American Dad over Family Guy. Simple.

Personally, for me (speaking as myself, now), I'd say the endings of each thread (J/B, A/T, C) were deftly handled. Rather than giving a rushed "resolution" to each story, what we actually got was a set of consequences to actions. Progress for characters, progress for stories, and a lot of funny moments along the way.
