It's harder to screw up the opening ceremonies because, well, there are ceremonies associated with it. I enjoyed the Queen and James Bond bit and stuff.

How long was the baby in the rabbit hutch? It seemed pretty peaceful in there. Might have been better to just leave the infant alone. (I'm kidding.)

I hate it when any kind of crime drama brings in a previously unknown character to be the killer and/or pivotal in some way. That's why I downgrade this episode. Other than the kid lurking in the background in a few earlier scenes, we don't know anything about him or really all that much about the family.

Just a thought . . . why doesn't MSNBC produce programs for HBO related to the news instead of other cable networks?

On the other hand, it's totally understandable that her role in "Pure Country" with George Strait wasn't mentioned.

Originally, I was hoping "Survivor" would really be about that—surviving. Put a bunch of castaways on an island and see how well they do in "creating" their own micro-civilization. Then, it just turned into corporate team-building/destroying exercises. Bummer.

If the novels were set on the Arapahoe and Shoshone reservation in central Wyoming, they'd have to compete with Margaret Coel's novels—which are also nice little mystery stories with fun characters.

I'm still boycotting NBC for cutting away from the closing ceremonies last time to air that dumbass show from Jerry Seinfeld about failed-marriage celebrities commenting on the ruined relationships of "normal" people.
