Yea, I actually do like the puppet episode, but some of the confessions REALLY lose me. Half of them are character ruining (I really believe Britta would vote, for example) and the others are non-sensical. So, it's strange, because I love it and I love the sentiment of the end, just not the execution.

Did anybody else feel like the Chang dance was a spoof of the weird choreographed dance from season 1 that just existed for some reason?

I couldn't believe they brought Brie Larson back! The hint at it (the lampshade) shocked me, so I should have expected it. That was probably my favorite episode last season and, besides her sometimes over wide-eyed portrayal, she's my favorite Abed lady. The whole thing made me wonder if I liked last season more than

I always assume other people have secret, regular contributions from their parents that they don't share (because it weakens their moral authority).

Ah, gotcha. I hope my comment didn't come off as too harsh, just that I've chatted recently with a lot of people about this (and other issues) and I'm always fascinated at how people can be curious enough to have an opinion on a subject but not curious enough to do a quick Google search.

I'm late to the party here, but I'm legitimately curious. You state somewhere that you didn't know which resource to use to figure out "trans information". You couldn't find an advocacy group for trans people from a simple Google search? I just Googled "transgender terminology" and there are some great, short PDFs

Super agreed on the last point!

Hayden has been a pretty consistent narrator, which is an easy way for the editing to say "don't forget this guy" even when he doesn't have much to do on a given week.

Bah! And why are there 2 Disquses? Meaning, why do I have an AVClub Disqus account and a general one for my other posts around the internets? WOOF

My guess was that, in the bizarre chance somebody would give Tina the idol, there'd be a split vote that might tear the alliance apart. Or maybe to make Tyson think somebody had it out for him in the rare chance they got somebody to flip to Monica. Dunno!

The thing is, I could see a pre-merge RI player winning, but not somebody who comes back at Final 5. It just seems *too* unfair.

YES, thank you! I may never get the Sherri hate (perhaps on my next Survivor watch-through decades from now). She endured a lot of crazy shit to make it to the final 3. Maybe she was really unpleasant in person?

That's not necessarily true; if she stuck to her guns (original alliance), Tyson/Gervase might not have had the confidence to switch.

She still seems to be pretty tight with Gervase (she patted his leg on her way out), so maybe she thought he was forced to vote that way against his will for the most part.

Ditto. Why risk any chance that Tina had the idol when you could blindside somebody you're going to blindside later anyway? I have the feeling that Tyson told about the idol or we weren't shown something else that's important for them making the unanimous decision.

I think Tina jumped on the sword for Katie once she saw the writing on the wall. See: her super annoyingness about Katie's immunity win.

Dunno, I find it overall a pretty underwhelming season but I still think she was the best one of the bunch.

I find it irrelevant that she can't sew, considering she was still the best designer that season.

Yea, there must have been some plan (even if it was mostly a front) to just vote Laura out right away, especially considering Jeff brought it up at TC.

It's also as armchair as a challenge can get. I love that we're all saying our memorization techniques. I blended the first syllable from each symbol into a mega word. It wouldn't work on the show for me, though; I'd have to come up with a better system.
