Duh, yes, that was the narrative of that season. But I think this season, the players are more into the integrity of the game and would consider it a bad mark to come back into the game.

Do you think he could ever win due to everybody hating Colton so much?

I don't think a player who came back from RI could ever win this game (at least this season when the players are actually smart).

Yea, it was very silly when Monica threw it out after Brad left. Unless it was her self-righteous way to say that she wouldn't let those people hurt her, I think it was definitely a bad move.

Would have been interesting to see who he aligned with, though.

Did anyone find the explaining while he searched to be kinda distracting?

She'd be my pick, as well, but you never know. I think recent seasons of Survivor are way more interested in mini-arcs than they've ever been, so it's realistic to think that they'd rest a story until it's relevant again.

I think the eye candy is Halloween levels of high (blah, forced metaphor, sorry).

I'm pretty sure Tina and Aras are tight, which makes a solid foursome plus whomever else they pull in. It's smarter, IMO, for the pairs to stick together, helps them deflect.

This is terrible and the article is merely a summary of what it is. Why would these villains kills their henchmen? Why not just write a story where the villains won but got caught?

I was shocked at how long she kept up the charade with Monica. Even after multiple, pointed questions. Life on the island must be bananas!

This. She's one of my favorite players of all time, so I try to ignore stuff like this.

Yea, good point. Could an RI returnee ever win the game? Like with the Outcast tribe, there was no way anybody would let them win based on principle. Though I guess Ozzy could have come close.

I'd say Hatch beat somebody nobly; the diversity of game play argument (mine was better) as opposed to quality of game play (mine was good, theirs was non-existent or bad). There's also deliberate goating (Rob M. in that season I hate) vs knocking out somebody last minute who would definitely win (Marquesas, FvF1).

Followed and listened! You guys have really pleasant speaking voices, btw. Once I get my bearings around here, I'd love to call in and chat. Let's see if I keep up my regular posting habits.

Thanks!

Yea, how often is a woman of color booted in the first few eps? I'd like to see an infographic or something on it because I feel like the math is there.

How many days does the discussion here tend to go on before it peters out? Does it sustain until the next ep or is it kinda over after 24 hours? I know every board is different here.

I thought Jenna L. came up with it, if I'm remembering correctly.

Yea, it was a pretty reactionary (and cruel) reason to target people. There's still some class-based pressure when it comes to the Final Tribal Council, but I think the reason for targeting people changes each season and is somewhat arbitrary.
