One of my favorite Batman stories is "Blades." Batman hunts down a sneaky serial killer while dealing with a mysterious new vigilante. It features a great script from James Robinson (before he went to Hollywood and came back a crappy writer) and art by the always-excellent Tim Sale. Here's three places you can find it:

Sorry, I didn't like "Whatever Happened To The Caped Crusader?". I'll never know why Gaiman used "Goodnight Moon" as inspiration. Nolan just gave us the best ending Batman will ever have.

Ha! I said something like that at my screening after people who stayed through the end credits groaned because there was no scene after them. I stayed because I enjoyed Zimmer's score. I know the music overbearing, but I can't help but dig it.

Cooke seems dismissive of Moore's position in this interview.  He had an interesting comment about morality in his interview with Rolling Stone: 'I had to make a decision when I got into this. I never had to stop and

Not necessarily. I was in grade school in the '90s. 'Nuff said, true believer!

The problem with Reign is that I don't think Spidey needs a DKR type story. He's not a fundamentally dark character like Batman.

Was that omnibus a color hardcover? Because I actually purchased that one and I had a similar reaction. The stories weren't great and I thought the artwork reproduction was crap.

If you like Brubaker, I recommend Parker: The Hunter and Parker: The Outift by Darwyn Cooke. Both available from the MPL!
