I haven't seen this mentioned so forgive me if I'm wrong, but the episode seems to clearly obey the five stages of grief once it's mentioned (a little too much, which might explain its rush).

Well, you can't win 'em all.

I've taken something of an assumed plot development from this episode, that Canning and Nyham have partnered up and will therefore represent a true rival FIRM, something we haven't necessarily seen before.

Not knowing what a balloon payment was made this episode very funny. And made Will seem like an exceptionally whimsical man.

I thought the Jackie sections actually worked well here. I wasn't on board with her being so arch in the last few episodes but I found the slips into possible actual illness handled very well. I also loved that Alicia plainly said to Peter that she was worried about her - because illness trumps actual animosity, and

I think it's been said a few times but I can't find enough ways to compliment the direction on this show. It's the only television series I actually recommend people watch from a stylistic point of view because despite the assumed turnover of directors they always seem to find interesting and unusual choices.
