Ah… see, where is the damn series on DVD.  20+ year-old memories are a pain in the butt.  All I remember is this show more than any other made me realize TV could be all kinds of crazy, thoughtful kickass and not just warmed-over cliche drama.

That's right!  He was a total horndog and it bit him in the ass… or the face anyway.

I could swear it began with Kyle Secor playing a gay man dying of AIDS and it's Bruce Greenwood's character who accidentally gets stuck with a needle and eventually contracts it.  I agree, the storyline was harrowing in its depiction of the disease.

That's one of the great in-jokes of the show, where Dr. Craig is watching TV and bemoaning how 'some idiot with a glove on his head' passes for entertainment.

I frequently visit Amazon in the hopes they release the whole series, maybe how they did with HLOTS, with all the crossover stuff included.  (I know there was an episode where the doctors visit the 'Cheers' bar and Carla serves them beers.  I could swear there was a 'Cheers' tie-in as well or maybe my memory is

Fiscus visits purgatory, heaven and hell on his way through the afterlife.  I believe he meets an old man in purgatory (really a stretch of sandy beach) who had been a patient that died in the hospital.  He meets rapist Peter White in hell (which is lake in the middle of nowhere) and heaven is a garden party at a

Fiscus meets God at a garden party and indeed, he's surprised to find looks like him.  To which God responds, 'I made you in my image didn't I."

I believe the middle one was Dr. Craig pontificating about life while he works out in a boxing gym, still seeing himself as a young, tough buck, not quite realizing his physical fallibility.
