Jake Peralta, like the actor who portrays him, is Jewish. Its very possible that he's never been in a church.

I'm a little confused by Max Gail's part in this. The Battle of Hurtgen Forest occurred about 25 years before when this episode takes place, but Max Gail is comfortably in his 70s. Wouldn't he have been in his late 40s when his character killed those Germans?
They skipped over a few sequences. Where are the two 1980 sequences (the neon train and the Doumanian black line credits)?
No mention of "The Mommies?" 30 minutes of diaper jokes from two self-amused stay-at-home moms? The show whose cast was bolstered by Julia Duffy and Jere Burns because the two two stars were thought to be "too boring?" What a curious oversight.
The bulge is only slight. Also, no mention of Skinner re-entering the army?
