Let's discuss how great Robert Goulet is. Between him getting eaten by a tiger here, providing Mikey's singing voice in Recess, and his surreally awesome cameo in Atlantic city, he fits a weird and perfect niche.

I wish they spent more time with that ending. It was cute, but needed more time to breathe.

One of the things I always LIKED about the first two episodes was that the leads weren't all that smart. Emotional and sometimes deep, yes, but they were refreshingly far from perfect.

For most of its runtime, I actively could not stand Frances herself, and it made it real hard to care about the film. I think it pulled itself together at the end, but there was only so much narrative meandering I can stand if I don't like the person meandering.

I didn't like Before Midnight as much as the other two of the trilogy, but it taught me a pretty good lesson about myself: I really didn't want to see these two people fight, I just wanted to see them be in love and be happy for a bit, even if that would have made for a less interesting movie.
