This would have been really cute if this were the first time the show has pulled the "It looks like one of the characters is being hugely insensitive, but in fact it is part of an elaborate nice thing" card, but as the fifth or so time, I cant' bring myself to care.

Please, everybody, Spader and neuter your pets.

Nathan For You surprises me constantly and wins for sheer ballsiness.

Oh man, I really really hate this premise but it is also by Dan Harmon so I think I might have to check it out. I've rarely been this conflicted about new shows.

"He chopped a guy's head off. With a SWORD."

Though this might be as good a time to ask as any: Should I give it a shot?

Treme dies as it lived: Unwatched by me.

Hey! I actually knew this one! I never know these!

Rhombus!

Lost isn't as good as The Sopranos, but it also far from sucks - It was an incredibly fun show with some memorable characters and a few moments of perfection, but gets wrongly maligned for

I'm glad somebody referenced this, but I wanna take a time out to mention that this song probably has some of my favorite lyrics of all time. Just….every line is some insane pun that just manages to come out on the good side of cutesy and sorta feels like the musical equivalent of a James Joyce novel. I just love it

Thanks A.V. Club, I think I will give this show a try. What was it called again? "Cheers"?

I think there could definitely be a nice discussion about whether that changes anything or not, but either way I don't think it invalidates what you're saying here.

Absolutely. I really think what will keep this show going in its ridiculous late seasons is the establishment that these two are absolute badasses who have seen pretty much literally every monster in the world, so we can skip the whole "I wonder what sort of monster this is OH PHEW I found a website detailing this

One quick thing: Was this the first time Jesus has been explicitly mentioned in this show? For some reason I've always had the feeling that they never mentioned him, leading me to think that there was something important there.

I think you're right about this, but that pun was totally intended.

I really love the simple politeness of this whole 'community grade' thing. Perhaps the A.V. Club has hope yet!

It would be awesome if, for the rest of the show, Sam is just a virgin. I don't know what tactical or thematic advantages it would give, but I'd love it.

Eh, B+, I liked a couple parts of it.

Sure, you're definitely not wrong about the gender studies stuff. You are DEFINITELY not wrong.
