Yeah, this is my exact opinion, though I watched it week by week.

He was seriously one of the finest actors we had. The Sopranos would've been a good show without him, but with him it became one of the finest bits of television ever made. What a king.

My college friends and I saw it at midnight in a theater, an experience made doubly awesome when one of my friend's dads insisted on coming along and he bought us all a ton of candy. I don't think anything I've ever done since recaptured the coolness of being twelve years old like that did.
