Euron! EURON!!! (The dude who plays Rollo would be a more appropriate Victarion, actually—not that I want the entire case of Vikings to head over to Game of Thrones [ok maybe I do.])

Holy cow, Travis Fimmel would make a wonderful Euron!

I hope that's the case because I'm pretty peeved that they cut out Arianne (a POV character!) but cast a bunch of aged-up Sand Snakes with nothing to do but stand around Dorne, being pissed.

OK now I'm obsessed. They've got to get Molina on this show somehow.

When Tara was turned into Pam's vampire progeny and was poised to become Jessica's new BFF, I was ECSTATIC! I thought they were finally going to do Tara justice. But of course (of course), these writers just pooped all over that potentially wonderful character arc. Such a waste.

Wait, seriously?

Oh my gosh, I had totally forgotten about Franklin!! I now regret how much I complained about the show during those early/middle seasons. If only I had known how bad it would become.

Thanks for posting this because I had no idea what the hell the deal was with the Yakuza. As is common with True Blood, I just kind of shrugged my shoulders in confusion and went with it.

I guess he was the one who set out Alcide's leather jacket on the bed? Either way it was dumb as hell.

True! And it's not like Ned doesn't have a lot of biases going on here—his brother and father were brutally and publicly murdered by Rhaegar's father. One would think that Ned would hold a serious, family-wide grudge about something like that.

You hit the nail on the head. Also the (many) clues that exist in the books that lend credence to this theory aren't quite present in the show, so pure show-watchers would certainly be surprised by it if it *does* come to pass.

Wellllllllll…*SPOILERS* Jon certainly has the opportunity to be legitimized anyway.

Honestly I spent the whole episode sort of looking at the TV while playing stupid games on my phone.

Fucking hell, this made me laugh like a crazy person.

I kept thinking of Vikings' "Blood Eagle" episode, which is, uhhhhh, weird and gruesome.

Exactly. "Stopped vigorously fighting it" does not equal "consent."

Incorrect. Theon was absolutely castrated in the books.

You're missing one crucial point: the director and other very important people involved in the production of this seem to believe that the scene they created is "ambiguous" when in fact, it is not at all ambiguous. They believe there is consent when there is clearly no consent. This speaks volumes about rape culture

Actually if you reread the Drogo/Dany scenes, you'll find that Dany DOES consent.

OR!!!
