Interacting with a world in first person is just intrinsically more visceral, on so many levels. I don't think it's necessarily better, just that it's so much more effective for setting tone and pace. Some of my favorite games are FPSs, but I'm hardly a skilled player or anything.

While I agree that there's a lot of tonal problems in the ME games, part of me feels like it was a deliberate choice, that each game, consciously or unconsciously reflects different periods in sci-fi.

I honestly enjoyed this, but I've been fairly pro-Parks even as it's wound down. It's not as good, but it still has the same general voice and I still enjoy watching it.
