I'll always give Cable a pass, but what I like about the concept is that Cable is actually done with the whole 'hero' thing and just wants to retire.

Turns out I was giving too much credit, then. Even funnier!
Yeah… 'examining the facts' has been mainly 'his covers stupid" "hes dumb" "his defenders annoy me".
I love the anti-hipsters trying to pretend they're 'forced' to side with Glee. Hey, tell us what jerks the Kings of Leon and Community are too, please!
Saw it for the first time yesterday. Fantastic cartoon, stuff I'm envious over having a childhood filled with the Hanna Barbara garbage strewn out through the 70s.
And of course, John DiMaggio. Nuff said.
Not only that, but their completely phony extras are awesome, like the tour of Astrobase Go! and discussions with the cast of the Venture Brothers movie.
I've well-exceeded the point where Star Wars novels are more enjoyable than Star Wars movies, but that perhaps isn't saying much.
Agreed, the old Virgin books were fairly good. (Although slightly hampered by not being able to use the name 'Dalek').
As long as at least one person is really familiar with the game, I've found Arkham Horror can actually be completed in about 1-2 hours.
The Fairy expansion is great because it forces the other type of behavior - people cooperating because they'll get a reward.
Oh, I'm a big on expansions - I have them all for Arkham Horror. Never had the Deep Ones rise up, but usually a Rift will open and the last game had the Dunwich Horror show up - I was about to kill him and get the "Pick Any Card" reward, when a gate opened on me and threw me elsewhere - that was pretty much it.
Board and card games are just cool. And a great excuse to get people together to hang out in person rather than online. Munchkin and Chez Geek (and the variants thereof) are regular staples among my friends and family.
Two notes: much love for the long out-of-print Supremacy, a sort of "Super-Risk" that was…
Agreed. Remender's characterizations along Uncanny X-Force were amazing - all the way to the last issue. His run will be a tough act to follow, but I'll give the new book a chance; the line-up is intriguing, to say the least.

The only surprise here is the sentence "The magazine will continue to exist".

I've never understood it personally - they must realize that Protestant Fundamentalists lump them in with the Hell-bound, right? A triumph for bisociation, I guess…

Family Guy wouldn't be able to sustain the premise for more than 30 seconds.
