Back in the day ("day" being defined as "the early 90s") Lifes Rich Pageant was held up as the "quintessential" REM album by a lot of fans. Never got that myself - the album is almost as throw-away as Dead Letter Office, with a cover, old staples revamped for the album, and songs left over from previous album

I don't really give a damn about anything about "Community" other than seeing a show that I really liked - a rare event these days - continue to be a show I liked.  Whatever is said about Dan Harmon, it's the undeniable fact that the show is worthless without him.  And you know what?  What Sony did was shitty and

It isn't worth it.  But there's always the occasional show like "Community" that will come up to watch new, but with every show that you ever liked (probably) being available on DVD, it's easier just to pay a one-time fee to make your commercial-free network where you watch what you like.
That isn't to say there won't

I'm guessing that you've just started watching television for the first time.

And yet Sony & NBC will be totally mystified when Community sinks further in the ratings.  Why did they bother to renew the show and then massively retool it?  NBC would've been better served cobbling together another reality show or just filling the spot with "Classic Episodes of the Office".

For most of Season Two, David Lynch was working on a movie.  Story has it that when he went to do the season finale, he was shocked to find a number of actors from Season One weren't around because the writers basically stopped using them - notice that Ben Horne's wife shows up there for the first time since Season

Of course not.  For whatever reason, Chevy Chase apparently can set people on fire, and apologists will just say "Oh, everyone knows how Chevy is, he wasn't the one to play a private voicemail".
Besides, I don't doubt that Chevy played some role in Dan Harmon's removal.  I expect that an unchecked Chevy will be just

Refusing to do a scene?  Are you serious?

If you walked off the final shooting scene of my show and then had the balls to show up at the wrap party like nothing happened?  I would've had security forcibly and publicly throw him and his family out.  Sorry, but Chevy "just being Chevy" isn't an excuse.
I admit Dan Harmon could've been classier - for example,

Wait, I thought Smashnig Pumpkins split up…

It's funny that they contrasted themselves with U2 from the beginning, because there's definitely some sort of convergent evolution that went on there, especially by the end of the 1980s.

It's not.  It was a dated semi-funny poke at RonCo-type gadgets advertised on UHF stations in the early 80s, that became a tiresome equivalent of a worn catch-phrase.

To quote Viva Variety:  "When someone is always down, when else are you supposed to kick them?"

That's the sort of thing he'd do.  He was protesting going to the movie by sitting alone.  You know, instead of not going or at least sitting with the girl that was the reason he went there in the first place.
