Jeb: "Waiting to hear what my dad thinks, get back to you in about seven years."
Jeb: "Waiting to hear what my dad thinks, get back to you in about seven years."
I was reading the Mary Queen of Scots wiki page after an episode last week or the week before and I think it said that there was some negotiation of a marriage between Mary and Don Carlos, but her imprisonment or his death squashed that. So that part was possibly far less historically inaccurate than most of the show.

Who else was hoping that Antoine's response to the demand he give up his claim to the throne would be to laugh in Mary's face, "I don't care about my brother that much"? I want to be rid of the spectre of Conde!
Wasn't it considered incest to marry your brother's widow? I think that was the major issue with Henry VIII's marriage to / divorce from Catherine of Aragon. They were only allowed to marry in the first place because it was believed that Catherine's marriage to Prince Arthur wasn't consummated.
Budget restrictions are probably responsible for the lack of women at Elizabeth's court, but it's still aggravating. At least stick Kat Ashley in there. Maybe ladies-in-waiting will be added in once Francis is dead and the plot is split more evenly between England and, presumably, Scotland.
Names on this show can bother me. Did you notice how they were pronouncing the pirate's name as the feminine Martine instead of Martin?
That book is in my Amazon wish list right now, so the site keeps recommending a not yet released novel about the same subject, called "Medicis Daughter," which might be interesting.
Conde has only been absent one episode so far, so it's hard to say whether this season will be worth the slog that his character made…
Dauphin Charles will be motivated to get his mother out of the dungeon by not having the same borderline Oedipal relationship with her that Francis does, finding out that Francis killed their father, and some adolescent petulance that Francis is too busy stuffing gauze in his ears to spend time together. Then he will…
I was torn, but in the end also felt that the reversal of Catherine being brought back to France happened too quickly. I didn't really like how easily Elizabeth seemed to trust Catherine - or at least allow her physically close to her, since the only reason Catherine de Medici takes off another woman's tiara is to…
Haven't seen this episode yet, but 700 year old Spoilers - The Baroness won't have to wait too long until Piers Gaveston can't claim her lands anymore.
Does the Baroness have a more formal name? In the first episode, I figured that she and her maid were lovers, which is why the maid was calling her that. Now all I…
I don't see the resemblance to Benicio Del Toro, whose facial features are too deep-set to be considered classically handsome.
But it's easy to imagine someone on the show wearing the person Ralph Lauren.
Really? Pedantic, immobile, and charred to a crisp is just how I like 'em.
Plus Frederica Bimmel in "Silence." Lot of dead Freds in Thomas Harris' wake.
I've had a fever and no appetite for days, so I had some chicken soup at like 4pm, then finally felt like eating about half an hour ago and had some yogurt and cookies. But my temperature was normal when I took it just now, so thank you healing power of Hannibal.
Inside the Babybel factory: "This is not what I meant when I said to push product placement!"
"…but the evil guy didn't even finish?"
"Now our cheese isn't good enough for serial killers?!"
Chilton is such a human cockroach - I hope he never truly dies.
In another review I read, she plays the Kevin James-worshiping First Lady.
OK, and the knight is torn between his love for the modern nun and his oath to protect his best friend's pregnant widow. Turns out the pregnant widow can also time travel, and is both the nun's mother and her Mother Superior.
Shuffle the cast: Michelle Monaghan is President. Sandler is her husband. Kevin James and Josh Gad are Sandler's embarrassing childhood friends/relatives, dropped during the campaign for political expediency. Jane Krakowski is the jailed arcade game savant. Peter Dinklage is a billionaire defense contractor and…
