Was the pacing really off on this one? Being a self conscious nerd I was super hesitant to show my "cool sports deodorant" friends a lot of their Season 4 stuff cause they seemed so… confusing/inner-circle/nerdy etc…

Axl and the Boys had a much bigger budget/following. Team Venture would probably be some sort of Indie/Punk outfit?

the loose, sketchy, let's-riff-on-a-played-out premise feel remind me of early faves like the Willy Wonka one and the Animal House one.

The new-er Futuramas have been hit or miss. Some are solid episodes, some are weak, there are good jokes scattered throughout and the animation itself is always beautiful. (The colors duke!) This episode, I felt, was one of the most solid recently… -of all 7 seasons, for that matter—- Slurms Mackenzie status! Honestly…
