I say we get George Saunders to do this.

So… it's John Wick's Bogus Journey?

I'm pretty sure after reading Vox's take that this ad is…possibly some sort of high five to Trump's Big Beautiful Wall's Door For People Who Are Maybe OK To Be Let In? Maybe? http://www.vox.com/culture/…

As far Trump getting wise to the game: this is a 70 year-old narcissistic sociopath. He has never been and never will be able to stop himself from taking the bait. Sad!

This was a really nice obit, for a guy who was a lot more than what a lot of us (me included) thought. Props to you, William, for putting thought and heart into it.

You alone love them.

F*cking Donald Trump is going to be our next president. We could probably use more delightfully weird things like this.

And with the phrase "That's not Doug Liman enough', we reach Peak Doug Liman. Congrats, everybody! Let's call it a day.

By all means, let's not include Stone Brewery in an article about IPAs. (In other words, maybe you oughta stay in your lane, AV Club.)

If you've not yet seen it, check out Roads and Kingdoms (www.roadsandkingdoms.com). Bourdain came on recently as a partner, and it's a really great site. (I was lucky enough to have a piece published there, and am working on a second. But since I'm anonymous here, this isn't a self-serving comment.)

A show about militarized cops who shoot first and read rights later (if at all). Sure, why not.

Barbarian Days: A Surfing Life by William Finnegan. I'm a surfer, have read all of the Writers That Surfers Have To Read (Kem Nunn, Daniel Duane, Allan Weisbecker) and the praise that's been heaped upon Finnegan's memoir by surfers and non-surfers alike is earned. It's brilliant.

Raises bottle of Stone Arrogant Bastard, binge-eats a bag of Rubio's fish tacos in mournful solidarity.

No, this is the guy with the killer theme song.

Long Pork FTW!

Nope.

All of the major characters in "Pacific Rim":

"And the aforementioned finale—which features spewing fluids, government agents, and a genuinely horrific moment which earns the film its title—is well worth seeing."

As a Corporate Social Media Manager in real life - sorry, IRL - I felt like I had to know who this guy was when he first became A Thing. And now that I do, I'm questioning every choice I made in life that brought me to that moment, that ghastly moment, when I felt like I had to know who PewDiePie was.
