When the inevitable news of Brett Ratner's death by autoerotic asphyxiation breaks, with all of the sordid details made public (stacks of gay porn mags and videotapes, large bag of animal tranquilizers), will the AV Club still use that photo?

Capable of pulling off a "we are scary" look in publicity photos: Mastodon. Less so: Coldplay.
Also starring Nicholas Cage as Lew Zealand.
Ten points for Slytherin!
(straps on helmet, armor) "500 Days of Summer", just because it reminded me of a past young and stupid relationship. Also, best use of Wolfmother's "Vagabond" ever.
The first one is a deconstruction of the Potter and Narnia books; the second takes a swing at (among others) Stephen R. Donaldson's Thomas Covenant series. They're both great.
Just finished "The Magician King". Given how fucked up both books are (it actually does get more adult than that, what with the dismembering and the raping and such), I'd say this is a better fit for F/X.
Rabin didn't ask him about his drinking problem.
Why isn't this show on HBO? Why? WHY?
"Here's the script, Mr. Nolan."
The first five minutes of "Up".
Listen, I'm as cynical as the next guy, but I saw the movie last night. It's terrific; very funny, and sad without being maudlin. Plus it has Stoned Philip Baker Hall.
If you think about it, the guys who wrote the Green Lantern script are perfect for this.
In this case, it's Real World accurate. Saw this at the San Diego Film Festival last night, and the movie Rogen is based on real life Rogen, who is one of screenwriter Will Reiser's best friends, and who helped Reiser deal with his cancer. So he gets a pass this time.
Just like in the original: they'll disguise troop transport planes as commercial airliners. Several hundred "commercial airliners" taking off from North Korea and flying towards the U.S. Nothing suspicious about that.
Saw the movie last night. The big surprise is that it's actually funny. The Drummer Story is handled with a wink and a nod towards Spinal Tap, there's a humorous montage of Vedder's epic stage dives from the rafters, and the whole "grunge-is-hip" moment gets a skewering. Gossard, Ament, and yes, even Eddie all seem…
Um…kicks in the door?
"Clouds".
In the real world, my brother-in-law is the lead guitarist for Fool's Gold. They're a great live band. I'm biased, of course.
And using that clip from a fucking Brewers game is inexcusable. Freeman, you should know better.
