And kfb, if this show were pulp I wouldn't be anywhere near it. Pulp is shit.

The glacial pacing is needed to establish the coherence of the setting. It's not enough that the setting be internally consistent (the standard for most television), but that the internal consistency of the setting be demonstrable.

I hate your reviews
What's with your obsession about fast pacing? I love the pace of V. Hell, I even loved the pace of Defying Gravity, which makes V look like it's on ecstasy.

I love the big daleks
They're the daleks from the Peter Cushing films. Larger, more colourful, and they have a division of labour not seen since the days of the Emperor Dalek. What's an Eternal Dalek? I have no idea. Neither does Steven Moffatt. That's wonderful!

Bond would be awesome. Someone has to do Thunderball, right?

Shania started out with a fairly typical Northern Ontario accent (which is the basis for the "Hockey accent" that all NHL players have). However, years of living in Europe and working with people from Tennessee have muddled it somewhat.

He's more of a Troughton, to me. Pertwee was less apt to juxtaposition himself into condradictions like Eleven does.

Of course he was a parent
His granddaughter, Susan, was the original Doctor Who companion.

Doctor Pulaski aside -
Season Two isn't nearly this bad.

""What kind of knight would steal his best friend's wife?" This has to be ironic, right. "
I wish House had been the one to utter than line. Then it clearly would have been ironic.

Chase was right.
I thought his questions about what he did wrong were directly on point. Recall that Cameron wanted to kill the dictator, but didn't. As as we learn here, that Chase killed a man is not why she ultimately left him.

Yes, Fairportfan, that's exactly who Eric the Cavalier was.

I knew the first season was bad (I've probably seen the whole thing) but I didn't realise that the series started so poorly.

Vaguely racist?
I'm your standard unapologetic white guy, and I found Ligon II appallingly racist.

I object
I disagree with your characterisation of the fans' reaction to Adric. I love Adric. Adric remains my all-time favourite companion. Sure, he was whiny, but when he was whiny he was usually asking questions that needed asking.

No, the BeeGees are Manx. Not Australian.

If this means we get organ music on a regular basis
then this is my favourite episode of House ever.

Fred Armisen's incompetent stenographer is a blatant rip-off
of Harold Ramis's wholly competent stenographer from the SCTV sketch Court Clerk.

Siobhan's dad was part of the Yellow and Black Attack?

How did Macauley Culkin manage
to get Anthony Michael Hall to do all his aging for him?
