Why does no one ever mention Undertow? It might be my favorite REM song.

One of the celebs was in an episode of Party Down…so, there's that.

Mostly drove back and forth across my state, listening to Come to Papa and Unmasked on Sirius radio. I read the latest batch of new comics (Justice League, Batman, X-Factor, Thunderbolts, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern Corps) along with most of Axe Cop vol. 3 (which I didn't realize was just the web stuff I had

Saw Titus Andronicus, Grass Giraffes and the Screaming Females at the Caledonia in Athens, GA, on Friday. Finally saw The Descendents at Cine in Athens on Saturday. Saw Young Empires, Hospitality and Tennis at the Earl in Atlanta on Saturday. Purchased the over-sized Bone collection and was also reading

When the Roses Bloom Again is a darn good track…I think this was floating around on a soundtrack or compilation ever since the original albums came out.

That margin of being able to catch up is pretty vital. FX doesn't put out the previous season until about a week before the new one starts, making it very difficult to catch up. My parents are hooked on Justified and I bought S2 as soon as it came out to show them. We caught up about three weeks into the new season

Completely concur. All That You Can't Leave Behind was the first thing that popped into my head when I read the category of this. That was the moment I realized I would rather follow my favorite bands into their honest experiments (even if they end in failure) than retreat with them into safety.

Also, not one-off, I recall Andrew (sigh) "Dice" Clay doing Tiny Elvis as well.

But, it seems he would rather have everyone on his page (like training Andrea to be more like him). I imagine in Shane's world, he takes all the badasses and useful people with him and leaves the weak to fend for themselves. Even he knows it is better to have someone competent (like Rick) watch your back in a

I thought they were partners, not employer/employee? From the pilot, it certainly looked like they were equals.

I was talking with my friend after the show and I realized this whole season has been setting up Hershel as the Idealist and Shane as the Pragmatist. Both have strong opinions on how to survive in the new world order but Rick has the tougher job of keeping both philosophies in mind. I wondered why, last season, Shane

Question for people who have read the comics (SEMI SPOILERS AHOY)- Was last night's trip to the subdivision the entire "gated community" plot writ small? I don't see how the characters could trust a place like that now.

I submit James Robinson's Starman as one of the best chances at a strong television property. The family aspect is strong (between Jack and his father), Starman doesn't really wear a costume, most of the criminals are pretty banal power-wise which would keep the budget down (tell me The Shade's power would be that

I'm still carrying the torch for dearly departed bands like Beulah, The Delgados and Grandaddy…in various ways they all rode in on that mini-wave of Pet Sounds influenced acts at the end of the 90s/early 2000s.

Yes, there was an edict that Vertigo couldn't cross into the mainstream DCU starting sometime in the early 90s. So, even though Swamp Thing and Animal Man started in the main DCU, there was a time when they were no longer allowed back there. There was a point in the early  2000s at a convention where I heard a creator

There is a lot of free floating Johns hate on this page but I'll cop to being a fan. His first run on Flash is what got me not only into DC but back into comics period after the 90s drove me away. In Flash (his first run with Scot Kolins), JSA (the first series not the endless Kingdom Come fanfic that followed it),

I would like them to invite a non-comic reader into the crosstalk. If the idea of this relaunch is to be accessible to new readers, I would like to actually hear what a new reader thinks. Maybe an intern?

I don't know if this was said lower but Space's The Ballad of Tom Jones is a good one.

Love this guy's work
He is very approachable and friendly at conventions and over email. Tricked is awesome and Too Cool To Be Forgotten made me cry when I read it. I fully support and endorse anything this guy does.

The Fall
Maybe I missed someone mentioning this one but this rating mystified me completely. Rated R with no sex, no language and minimal fantasy violence (less so than anything in the Lord of the Rings movies). Sure, there are dark themes in it, but it would have done much better (I think) as a PG-13.
