It is obviously an expensive show, coming off a writer's strike, leading into a recession, I bet it occurred to NBC and the show's producers very early in the production that this might be a one season deal. With this large of an investment, I bet they either filmed…

The dialog, or at least McShane's delivery of said dialog, is really what makes this show good. I liked the last scene in the throneroom with the scribe because of the obvious tension that would be missing if the conversation were directly transposed to the history books.

I've just seen a handful of Sopranos, but I definitely see the similarites between Walt in BB and Tony S.

Kaante - The Bollywood remake
Go find this movie. It feels incredibly long, it has to be over 2.5hrs, but it is a very entertaining bizarro world version of Reservior dogs.

I'm a huge fan of these two. Great live show, great pop albums. I was surprised initially at the extra players in the group for the live setting, guitar, violin, cello, horns, etc… But it ends up sounding really good, filling out the songs and recreating the new album.
