Think the Hairy Bikers are diverting enough yeah, used to watch them quite regularly. Favorite cooking shows (other than Stein's), really, were the various iterations of Masterchef and Great British Menu.

used to watch the shows Virgin OnDemand had of his at 2pm, hungover when I shoulda been in class.

Hard drinking and getting in a bar fight after a day's labor is the very definition of an "honest living".

That gave me the biggest laugh of this TV season (Arlo's "I hope you get cancer!" line)

It seems to me that they're making him more nuanced than many may have expected; he's not a dick for being annoyed my Lights constant pronouncements that it was him who actually won the fight, he's actually 100% right. Lights makes these proclamations and refuses to fight.

MBV, Slowdive, Ride, Swervedriver, Smashing Orange, Mahogany, Engineers, Serena Maneesh, Chapterhouse, Catherine Wheel, Lush, Medicine, Spacemen 3/Spiritualized, Radio Dept., Maps, Cocteau Twins…..new or old, shoegaze is the fucking greatest.

Loveless was a groundbreaking classic for sure, but, for me, Jesus and Mary Chain, Cocteau Twins, Spacemen 3 and others would slightly challenge the "wholly unlike anything that came before it" assertion.
