Also, Kelly MacDonald's Irish accent didn't bother me, as it's perfectly serviceable. Once she said she was from Kerry, though, it did, as that is most assuredly not a Kerry accent.

Especially Wolfe Tone and Charles Stewart Parnell.

Shameless….
Absolutely excellent show in its first couple of year; Frank Gallagher was a pretty inspiring character. Gone off the rails recently though

Jimmy being Irish…
Always thought Darmody sounded Irish enough as a name, but I seem to remember Jimmy being pretty derogatory about Irish people in past episodes. Didn't mean he wasn't Irish himself, of course, it was just something that slightly confused me.

Jesus christ….
With this and Let The Right One In, why don't Hollywood just try and fucking option the movie first?

Freaks and Geeks…
Watched it when it was originally shown on TV in Ireland, when I was 14 or so I guess. Liked it then an awful lot.

OK….well, I just gotta say that as an Irishman who's spent 13 years living in Ulster, 4 of them in Belfast, it seems quite OTT and a bit laughable to me. The accents definitely are, anyway.

Tree Of Life….
So any news on when that's gonna be released then?

Terriers is an excellent, excellent show.

Everything about the IRA/Belfast/Ireland stuff, from the accents to people talking about "the struggle" etc, is simply embarrassing.

Black people are notorious conspiracy theorists, as well as tax evaders and atheists.

"Righteous rage of The Coup"….
Not disagreeing or anything, but one of the reasons I've always liked them more than Dead Prez (who I still love) is they seem to have much more of a working sense of humor…

I finished a marathon game of Civ IV in one day once….was shaking by the end. Got my spaceship away though!

Cancelled in 1991?
:)

Honestly, it's a decent show….
But it's just not on the level of the top sitcoms right now (or even second tier shows such as HIMYM).

Best pilot of the year?
Barring Boardwalk Empire, as you say, of course, but; is it really better than Justified?

Mr. Burns…
of course spares Homer from being fired in another episode for purely superficial reasons; "hmmm, better keep the egghead"

Vince Vaughn movies of the past 5 years?
Just saying, but Thumbsucker and Into the Wild are pretty good, and Wedding Crashers is an enjoyable comedy.

Best Krusty episode ever?
Why, that's obviously Krusty Gets Kancelled.
