Agree completely that we should see these ideas expanded on in season 2, at least a little. In a perfect world, the scenes at the South Pole would have had at least half an episode to themselves.

I've never thought of this show as an adult version of Ed, Edd, n Eddy before, but the comparison makes perfect sense. Just thinking of it that way may have instantly made me love this show even more…

There is also the fact that Koh is stated to be one of the oldest of Spirits, existing before the Ocean and Moon Spirits gave up their godlike powers to become fish, presumably before the time of the Avatar. So it stands to reason that he would know all about Energybending…
