I like the direction the UK show has taken with its post-apocalyptic vampire war future.  Plus they replaced the whole cast with new, better people, except for the attractive one.

I think the reviews are a little harsh on this show.  I see the faults they're pointing out but I really enjoy the show and kind of look forward to each episode.  I think its original and funny.

I don't see it noted in the review, but the Canadian terrorist, played by the guy from Trailer Park Boys, is a subpar voice actor.

Don't watch the movie first, it explains what happened to Laura Palmer in more detail than was probably necessary and has much more of a horror vibe than the mystery of the show.

I just read an interview in which the writers make it clear this is Earth-1 and Earth-2 but just a different timeline with two dead Peters instead of one.  So, I think E1 and E2 works and denoting the timeline is veering into scientific or mathematical notation in my opinion.
