It's ok using old themes, of course, and this show was doing well at shining a new light on them in earlier episodes, however, this finale was old hat on an old face. Similar to people still following this type of crackpot bullshit IRL.

That's the only major problem I'm having with this current iteration of the story - Karras taking on the demon and his sacrifice to kill it.

If only they learned how to promote these shows better and to the proper target audience.

I wouldn't worry about offending him. He's a complete idiot who's just trying to disrupt our, for the most part, intelligent discussion about a new TV show based on a film/book that most of us have fond memories of.
