Well, with those bands playing and then no Soundgarden, why would you go?

As somewhat of a Chris Cornell buff, read fan boy, read obsessive, he did indeed have a 4-octave range. He had a baritone voice - a voice is measured and named by how low you can go. He was also a "belter", which helped him gain that fourth octave. Most people can only manage 3 octaves, others can naturally reach the

Apart from Ann Wilson, it will be nice to hear some more talented acts pay tribute to Cornell. Something from his peers. That may sound snarky. I hope so. I'm still so gutted that Chris is gone and I'll take it out on these weak schlocky bands until I start to feel better.

What would Morty's response be, I wonder? I could see him sticking up for Creed for some reason.

I'll be stealing "Vedder-Cheddar", if that sparkles with you.

Great article, Sean - though I can't agree with you about Audioslave, their first album is a killer.
And thanks for making me laugh while I weep.

No other musician has had such a deep and broad impact on my life as this great man. Still can't fucking believe it. Perpetually weeping.

I sort of love how Maynard is condescending to some of the more "dickish" fans. Mainly because I think most of it is supposed to be tongue-in-cheek, but also because I like his voice and the bands he's in. When I saw Tool way back in 2001, he was getting the audience to repeat after him during his intro speech, then

But there were barely any in that fight scene. And definitely not gratuitous.

Fuck off! You know nothing about Tool.

Whaddya reckon is the best of his recent run?
For me, and though one has to suspend belief constantly, Ghost Protocol is such a great fucking action movie.

If you've never seen it, watch the making of Predator on youtube. Great insight into one of my childhood faves.

Have you watched The Rock recently though? To me, it doesn't hold up so well. But I fucking loved it at the time.
Favourite line is from the hairdresser:
"I don't wanna know nothing. I never saw you throw that man off the balcony. All I care about is are you happy with your haircut?"

I just wasted five minutes waiting for multiple gratuitous panty shots. Booooo ….

I thought Conan made him famous. Or was it the tremendous Hercules in New York?

Although there were a few obvious flaws, I preferred Genisys to Rise of the Machines. And let's just forget about Salvation. I think the franchise needs to go back to its R-rated roots and bring back the horror/dread of the first one.

I agree, though I think Tiger Woods might be an exception. Hell, aren't we all mixed. Just some of us not mixed for long enough.

She's still looking wonderfully awesome

At this rate, we're more likely to get a new Tool album before this premieres

Will you still give this new show a chance though? I'm a Trek fan from way back, and though I'm not hugely pleased with the alternate timeline created by the new movies, I think Abrams did a much better job with Trek than Wars. Fingers crossed Discovery is replete with Fuller magic
