I can't speak for The Tunnel, but Bron/Broen (The Bridge) is a Danish/Swedish crime drama, about to enter its third season. I've found it very impressive so far and it's been my gateway into other Scandinavian drama. I definitely recommend it. There is also a US version on FX

Definitely agree they are well-made. My main problem is with them being too similar to the originals. It made it feel like a retread and that the only reason for them being made was for language purposes. Seems like a waste.

The original versions of both "The Bridge" and "The Killing" are far superior to the remakes. Hopefully a new season of "The Bridge" will be coming our way some time this year.

I watched the first nine episodes in one day last week (I know, I need a life), so it's been a long week waiting in anticipation for this episode. It did not disappoint.
