Looking forward to seeing what other films get picked for this week's batch. Maybe some Die Hard? Any of them would technically qualify, but the third installment takes place from morning to midnight, and holds up surprisingly well.

I love all of Linklater's one-day films, and Dazed and Confused is a strong contender for my favorite film of all time. On the other hand, it's such a perrenial favorite around these parts, and versatile enough to qualify for a number of different potential "themes," that we might not see a column on it this week.

And then he said "Sorry!" Wow!

I would prefer not to…?

The 1991 Denver Broncos?

No, there was also that line where he was telling Rusty that he'd been interrupted watching porn.

Yeah, she played Amber Gold last week.

I'm in the exact same boat. I don't need that many t-shirts, and I just bought the O.S.I. one, but dang this week's is still tempting. If I hadn't bought one last week, I'd be all over this one.

I'd never considered that before, but the theory holds water, for sure.

I agree that the first half seemed a little scatterbrained, but for me that just made it all the more impressive when it came together in the back half.

The music on this show is almost always superb, but that cheesey fake-piano theme that came up every time they talked about Myra was distractingly bad. What was the deal with that?

One thing that really struck me on my most recent viewing of this episode…

Todd was definitely talking about Sam Weir (the character), not John Fraccis Daley (the actor).

I didn't think that was "a bit of encouragement" at the end. I mean, it wasn't outright pointing and jeering, but it definitely struck me as a quiet dig.

Huh. I stand corrected. Somehow that escaped my notice.

Holy crap, you're right! Maybe it was…

Wow. I hadn't given this product or those commercials even an ounce of thought in at least ten years. And you've just excavated them. Bravo.

You're definitely right. I guess maybe what we're getting at is that the decision was easier to make on paper, but it takes a shocking amount of confidence and conviction to look a patient in the eyes and stand by that absolutely correct decision.

I will, sooner or later. It does bug me that I hung in there for four and a half years and never got to the actual ending.

I think there was some panel discussion or interview in which people asked Doc and Jackson what's changed about making the show over the years. Their answer: "People stopped saying No to us." So yeah, tons and tons of high-profile guest stars this season.  Wyatt Cenac, Aziz Ansari, Gillian Jacobs, Tim Meadows, Bill
