I almost didn't see this because the trailer is so awful. And even though every one of those moments is in the movie, most felt pretty different in context. The movie is still riddled with quirk and cliche, but much better than I'd expected it to be.

Yep.  She's terrific, and really did at least deserve an Oscar nomination for YOUNG ADULT.
