TOO BIG!? Whoa. Portman looks really unhealthy.

How does this sort of thing work, anyway?
Do they call the people's agents and coax them into going to a local recording studio and/or green screen somewhere? For whatever reason, I have a hard time imagining how this is arranged. I mean, if I'm Glenn Close, am I in my DAMAGES dressing room when my cell phone rings

Very similar experience in 1983
I was a sophomore in a small Indiana town, and a bunch of us made the trip to Ft. Wayne at some upperclassmen's urgings about "how great" it was. Though the theater was about two-thirds full, there was almost no energy whatsoever. The experience was rote the first time I had it.

I'm always puzzled by "Cant you READ!?!?" comments by people who don't read.

Tasha's terrific as always
There are some really interesting discussions that get going here, but Tasha's contributions are the ones I've consistently enjoyed. Informative, thoughtful, critical yet gracious, and a really good, clear speaking voice. Very nicely done!

The OP was speaking of the actress deliberately left unnamed. And yeah, I didn't think it was a spoiler, either.

It goes wider next week. Nots ure when it "goes wide" though.

Well reasoned, Mr. White
I truly loved the "Don't WANT them" argument, because he's absolutely right.

Clearly Sean's thinking of crunchy style.

Orson Welles

My wish list
Harper Lee

Hey Scott — John Kennedy Toole
There's also THE NEON BIBLE, but he wrote it as a teenager, so maybe that just proves your point.

2000 also had Almost Famous, Traffic, You Can Count on Me, and Wonder Boys.

"Not since 'Crash' has — Ahhhhhhh nevermind."

He was typecast as Philip II long ago.

Wow. I definitely wouldn't have led with THAT.

@ Puhzam

Are there no dumb questions?
— 'cause I don't get it.

"Diatribe"? Not at all. It does come off as humorless, but it was actually a pretty affectionate memory.

Why the hate for a guy who stays in shape? Is it just musicians, or have you been mad at Clint Eastwood all these years as well?
