My oft-repeated Cheap Trick anecdote
On the ALL SHOOK UP tour, they'd done all of about three songs when everything just came to a halt and Carlos walked offstage. Nielsen went to the mic to explain that Carlos would be right back after he took care of something and made this huge cocaine-snort gesture.

PAGEANT remains my favorite album of theirs. If they deluxe FABLES, they'd better put that "When We Were Young" song (or whatever) on there which appeared in the liner notes. That one's been a mystery to me for years now, since I'm not up on all the bootlegs.

I can live with that
It is a good scene, and especially since the caveat is added that the reviewer doesn't think this is a great movie, I cannot troll.

I caught it in San Jose and was really, really pleased. Probably in my top two movies this year so far (without thinking about it too hard). The guy who played Sugar did a great job, too, and the story… well, don't get this one spoiled for you. The story is the real deal.

Thanks — i thought I was going nuts.

Thanks for the help.

No luck.

Google's not helping.

Brooks is terrific in that. Even doing "a voice."

I'LL DO ANYTHING
As one of the three or four people who actually like that movie, I've gotta say I'd love to see the musical version. Didn't Prince write most of the songs? I think just that one song the little girl sings made it in.

This gives me great hope
— that the entire Bazooka Joe canon is next.

I actually like BAMBOOZLED more than DtRT. It's got serious problems, but I think it's more observant.

Now you're just mean.

Do I have to spell it out?

I dunno. DtRT doesn't have the impact it initially had for me, either. Lee is too damned didactic.

I need to protect firsties from people like
me.

Franklin had slaves?

Ben Franklin
Ben Franklin from Engalnd, dietised by the French — to me represents a huge chunk of what America is shooting for. Intelligent, dilligent, searching, philanthropic, socially-minded, and — uh — pursuing happiness in all directions, so to speak. The guy invented bifocals, started the first susbscription

Frances is still hot, even if she does want unnecessary cosmetic surgery approved by J.K. Simmons.

— and they're both supposedly hung like horsi.
