YES. this is part of my problem. When this was being set up at the beginning of the season, and i was, admittedly, half-paying attention, I thought that the conflict was religious zealot Sanguinistas vs. the enlightened Authority. But then the Authority started praying to Lilith and drinking sacred blood.

Is anyone else completely confused by the concept of the Sanguinistas? Admittedly, my eyes got really droopy during the Bill / Eric torture/exposition scenes, but every time i think i understand the difference between The Authority & The Sanguinistas, one or the other does something to completely confuse me again.

Weird article. What isn't apparent is that Marc Maron was noticeably terrible at being an on-air host. He constantly flubbed his camera cues and line reads. He was completely out of his depth when it came time to any geeky topic like movie news or the gadget reviews, and he seemed to have some crotchety disdain for

i've really been impressed with Nurse Jackie this season. After 3 full seasons where Jackie's actions had no consequences, and she seemed to just keep hitting the reset button every time her moron husband believed a new lie, there are all sorts of casualties now. There's not as much room for humor, but it's nice when

I was on the fence about even continuing to watch this show, especially after last season seemed to finish on a big "Reset" moment, unwilling to deal with the central conflict of the show, but, lo and behold, this season has quickly turned face and is getting to it.
Even the predictably colorful faces of the group

Creaky Episode All Around
So far this season is still in the wait-and-see club house.
Jensen Ackles is still giving a great performance as Dean, and Jared Padalecki is still Sam-ish, though he hasn't been giving anything to play yet.
(i'm glad we're not getting anguished, demon blood-addicted Sam any more, but you'd

- i read Sam's beatdown as a combination of rising to Tommy's taunts and some sort of territorial were-dog/were-cat thing with the Meth-dad. (i've just assumed that the meth dealers are were-cats of some sort, since the show refuses to just tell us straight out)

what exactly don't i get?

Good morningstar honey
this episode clipped along nicely, touching on every storyline. The only bit that i thought slowed things down was deputy Jason taking on the twilight quarterback.

The Pam, Eric & Franklin Spin-off
- this season seems to be showing the unintentional side-effects of having a great cast. All of these actors have done great work on the show, so, as a series, you want to keep them around, and, in order to do so, you have to give them something to do. Arlene has been wonderful, so

oh hey, Hung is back.
* Hung & Nurse Jackie are two shows that never really impressed me, but i watch pretty much out of habit & because i like the lead actors. Their being 1/2 hour shows helps too.
