You know Iggy's already got a lifetime pass already when you hear his next album will be a jazz album about Louisiana based on the writings of Michel Houellebecq.

Whoa, you're the first person to address crushes. That reminded me that I can say the same exact thing about Kirsten Dunst, whom I've had a lifelong crush on. Despite hate hate hating Marie Antoinette (and I love Sofia's other films so this was a huge letdown), I'm really intrigued to see what happens to Dunst as she…
It occurred to me how much I loved Albert Brooks films when I realized that I could take Brooks five best comedies (the aforementioned four and then throw in Mother) and rate them collectively over Woody Allen's five best comedies. I agree, Kyle.
Even with my diehard love for Zeppelin, I'm still leery about defending Page specifically and "accidentally" lost his lifetime pass when I listened to MOJO's The Roots of Led Zeppelin CD. It was just…disturbing…how much Page copied folk guitarists.
Not feeling Minnesota
They had one chance to put Prince on the back of their state quarter. And they screwed it up with yet another generic outdoor scene. I would discuss with my Minnesotan friends whether the Dirty Mind album cover or just a head shot of Prince (like the Primer photo above) would have been the better…
Ain't No Sunshine
Phew, I'm far down enough that no one will ever bother reading mine. My only distinctive trait in crying at films is that I don't often feel ashamed that I'm crying. I'm not ashamed to admit that my life has little drama in it and I look to movies to remind me that I'm not just a cold, machine-like…
Yet, "Wall-E" is universally praised for its silent film-esque first half. Hm. Discuss amongst yourselves.
I think it's the best car chase scene ever. Apologies to "Death Proof".
Ah, such a better thread than the "this is sad/creepy/weird" posts.
A couple more additions
I too read "Ball Four" as a teen. It is solid but the person who forced it into my hands overhyped it a bit. I did like the relaxed style of writing.
Favorite scenes
I love when Chihiru is demoted to Sen by Yubaba (surrounded by her dog head men — I have four big black dogs at my house and occasionally they all bunch up and block my way and I think to myself "ort", "ort", "ort") and when she has to adjust to the working life.
My suggestions
Hey, this is a cool idea, AV Club. My roommate has Geek Love laying around and I think I can squeeze it in by mid-May. Thanks for the notification.
Wayne Coyne: "I am the most suited man, not only in my neighborhood but probably in the city here to really scare the shit out of those little kids which is, you know, I mean, I love Halloween but I love scaring those little kids. Because I remember, when I was a little kid, how much that being scared..stuck with you.
Creepshow 2
I was fortunate enough to be raised (separately) by two parents who were big horror fans and exposed me uncensored to all types of intense, R-rated films. Phantasm at age 3, HBO's Tales from the Crypt at age 6, you name it. So I obviously had numerous scared shitless moments.
Tooms, the second episode of the entire series. I saw that when I was 10 and it made me stay away from house vents for like a year or so. The way his limbs just stretched and how freaky his yellow eyes were. I still think that's the scariest thing I've ever seen on network TV. I love that they made a sequel within the…
I find myself tapping my toe to Collins' "That's All" or Elton John's "Still Standing" when I'm in an elevator. They're great elevator songs for those 15-40 seconds you're doing that.
I was wondering why I was the only one who posted Muppets on Things You Want To Experience for the First Time Again.
I remember laughing uncontrollably at Viggo when I saw the movie at the theater when I was six. For some reason, the scenes where wind is blowing through his balding scalp just got me every time.
Ah, too true, group therapy. Children actors here are so pampered compared to her character. She's like Beatrix Kiddo Jr.
Yeah, I think "Spirited Away" has a bigger cult spectrum than say 'fans of Miyazaki'. I guess if you wanted to attack it as a cult choice you could pick on how Disney bought the U.S. distribution rights and how there's that horrible Disney shill speaking before the beginning of the film about what a proud, benevolent…
