@avclub-f41c98ac606e9b29fce2d59f71df434d:disqus  One of my current tasks is proofreading technical documents written in English by Asian engineers.  Not only are many words commonly mispronounced, they are often misspelled the same way.  For example the word 'flange' is almost universally spelled 'frange'.
