Totally. That was the exact moment that I realized how restrained the show's been in revealing ANYTHING about him.

Makes sense, thanks. Every time we see him on screen I feel like I'm missing a piece of the puzzle, but leaving it unsaid underscores the creepiness nicely, I suppose.

Potentially dumb question: what's Qyburn's deal? He's now orchestrated more than a few huge moments, but has gotten very little characterization beyond being a creepy, eager-to-please Dr. Frankenstein. Maybe I'm misremembering but there's very little explanation for his motivations, no…?

As much as I'd hate to see one of them go, Jaime (fighting for Tyrion) vs. Bronn does seem to make the most sense dramatically.

It's amazing how at least 50% of the stuff listed here could apply in some way to Lost.

Characters who, having just received a large infodump or valuable piece of information relating to some mystery or conflict in the plot, choose not to reveal it to or discuss it with anyone on their "side."

One thing I was hoping this show would break apart from and sort of (maybe) has with this episode is "magic" in some form. Like, if Stannis' weird smoke-baby killing Renly really has no true effect in the grand scheme of things — that's interesting and a good angle to tackle this fantasy genre with. I don't expect it

    Yes. Thanks.

    "Expert," not expect.

Tyrion's definitely not dead; that would have justified a much bigger scene.

I might be mistaken, but wasn't Davos seen later on in a quick cutaway?

I'm coming to this a little late, but for what it's worth, I heard today from a random acquaintance involved in the production that this wasn't as amicable a situation as the Milch/Mann quote makes it seem.
