This made me even more depressed, because I hadn't even thought about it in the context of having a chance to come back if it had been cancelled.

I agree with this, but I'm definitely pirating the shit out of it until and unless I decide that it's not a flaming pile of shit after all. :(

I just skipped to the last ~5 minutes and watched the Winger speech in the courtroom and the final montage, and just absolutely lost my shit when the hashtag came up.

I still feel hope, and I think that's what's killing me the most. :(

I REALLY can't see people's opinion that Andrew was supposed to be a ladies' man from the way he was shown in TGiQ. Like, at all. Maybe I have to watch it again, but I have always seen it much more about sexy fag hags than girlfriends.

I don't know how to reply any further down the thread, but I honestly think that Season 8 was pretty forgivable. It's not perfect by any stretch, but that had a lot more to do with having to get comfortable with the genre than it did with it being actively bad. I am reading from an alternate universe without liveupdates, so probably a dozen people have already agreed with this, but the countdown was pretty clearly going down in the background, albeit in TV time. There were 5 seconds left when they went back to their seats.

Perhaps at the time, but I'd imagine that it would be much easier to dismiss.
I somehow missed this one. I look forward to being disappointed. :(
More than a little.
Ha! No problem, you're totally right. I was rather tired from a midnight showing last night and thought I might be wrong, but was too lazy to look it up. So. :P
I wasn't going to reply for a moment there, because Scotty N said a lot of what I was thinking. I would probably throw in a bit about serialization and point out that this is almost certainly going to end on a warm-and-fuzzy Greendale note, and thus you may well be having the same worry you might have had 20 minutes…
It makes sense that they would have to cancel bio this time, as Greendale is completely broke and can't just hire a competent replacement for Pierce to sleep with.
Mr. Mayor, that's a good strong dick you've got there, and I see you know how to use it!
